Calling for the Infinite Sphere

Palazzo Cozza Caposavi, Piazza San Rocco, Bolsena
Curator: Giorgio de Finis

The atmospheric frescoed rooms of Palazzo Cozza Caposavi have been specifically chosen to host Scottish artist James P Graham’s first solo show in Italy. The curator of this retrospective, Giorgio de Finis, has forged a path comprising video installation, drawing and sculpture, revealing a world that Graham has created, “sometimes with the eye of a scientist…or alchemist….occasionally druid, but ultimately with the innocence of a child or space traveller” according to de Finis. This ‘wunderkammer’ is a speculation on the temporality of an old Palazzo, geological time and man’s chronological evolution.
